ESAN OKPA ASSEMBLY 2023

Welcome to Esan Okpa Initiative Worldwide.

We are a socio-cultural organization devoid of political and/or religious activism or partisanship; but in favour of new ideas and methods aimed at bringing about social and economic changes that can lead to positive development in Esanland

Our Enijie

Esanland is made up of 35 clans each of which is headed by a traditional ruler called "Onojie“

Our People

We are proud of our ancestry and heritage. Our people are positive in outlook, creative, industrious and highly educated.

The autonomous clans/kingdoms in Esanland are currently administratively arranged under five local government areas

Our History

The word Esan is a Bini word meaning "they jumped away, or they have fled."

We are the
Heart beat of
Edo State.

Our location in Edo State tells it all. Esan people are proud of their ancestry and heritage. The people are friendly, positive in outlook, creative, industrious and highly educated.
The need for Esan unity cannot be overemphasized. For quite some time, Esan unity has been the focus of some well-meaning and prominent personalities of Esan extraction.

Vision & Misson

Our vision is to build an association of Esan people worldwide known for reliability, flexibility, responsiveness, exemplary citizenship, innovative and result oriented activities that will help to eradicate poverty, give the much needed support required by our people and improve the quality of life of members and the people of Esan land

Our mission is to develop, enhance, preserve and project the worthy traditions and customs of our people by serving as a think-tank and pressure group in pursuing all legitimate policies that will make Esan land a better and more progressive place to live in.

Our Land
